Pain

The cause of the pain may be unknown but is most often related to nerve. Muscle relaxants and anti-spasticity medicationssuch as diazepam (Valium).

Musculoskeletal pain can be caused by injury, overuse or strain, arthritic changes, or wear and tear of the joints, often from wheelchair use (including inadequate support for sitting) and/or transfers. It usually gets worse with movement and better with rest.

Chronic pain can cause or worsen psychological problems such as depression, anxiety and stress. This does not mean the pain is "all in your head," but rather that pain and distress can make each other worse.

Understanding what type of pain you have is key to choosing the right treatment.

Recognize the risks associated with Crohn’s disease.

After suffering from what I could only call a nervous breakdown nearly 3 years ago I have been plagued with constant throbbing nerves in my stomach and mouth region including the nose nerve. that I just need to 'get in touch with my feelings' and the sensations will pass-but this isn't working and I am beginning to think that I'm suffering from some sort of permanent nerve damage. My specialist prescribes me valium which helps temporarily and says that I am not in touch with my fearfull feelings i.e. These sensations become much worse with feelings of fearfullness or panic. Can anyone help?. I have been living with this condition and hoping it would pass for a long period, but to no avail.
